Our Board
Hazel Park Creative Arts is controlled by a three person volunteer board of directors with input from the arts community. The board members listed below donate their time and experience without compensation of any kind.

Michael VanderVeer
President
Michael served on the board of the Hazel Park Band Boosters as Trustee from 2006 to 2007, 1st Vice President from 2007 to 2011, and President from 2011 until 2014. Michael has two daughters who graduated from Hazel Park in 2009 and 2019. Michael also participates in various public service activities with the Oakland County Amateur Radio Public Service Corps, providing communications services in conjunction with the Oakland County Homeland Security Division and the National Weather Service.
Lisa Chrouch-Johnson
Secretary/Fundraising
Lisa has lived in Hazel Park for most of her life. Lisa has a daughter, Beverly, in Hazel Park schools. Lisa has taken on the fundraising activities associated with our fundraising events in addition to her secretary functions. Lisa has been on the Hazel Park Zoning Board of Appeals since 2008. Lisa previously served on the Hazel Park Planning Commission from 1998 through 2006, was Vice President of the Friends of the Library for one term and has participated on many other volunteer boards. Lisa also volunteers for Relay for Life and the Make a Wish Foundation as a Massage Therapist.
Robbie Webb
Treasurer
Robbie has been a member of the PTA for over 10 years, serving as treasurer for Longfellow PTA, Webb PTA, and currently the Hazel Park PTA Council. Robbie was also the treasurer for the Hazel Park Band Boosters from 2011 to 2014. Robbie is a member of the Hazel Park Lions's Club and volunteers for many different activities within the community.
