Hazel Park Creative Arts
Hazel Park Creative Arts News
On November 3rd, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in room 135 at Hazel
Park High School to officially dedicate the new Pottery Kiln. In attendance
were members of the school board, district and school administration, and
members of the faculty.
Hazel Park Creative Arts and the High School art department spent the last year and a half raising the nearly $15,000 needed to replace the old pottery kiln at the school. The old kiln was estimated to be at least 30 years old and was in very bad condition. (See the photo in the Kiln Project area of the web site).
Hazel Park Creative Arts hopes the new kiln will provide years of dependable service to the students of the Hazel Park School District.
Hazel Park Creative Arts would like to thank the school board, school administration, the art departments, the community and community organizations for their support of the kiln fundraising efforts. We could not have completed this project without your support!
